Beginning of the journey

I was always interested in how I could help people to understand a concept and gain confidence on the path to mastery. My mom inspired this curiosity by explaining complex ideas to me (math, chemistry, and physics) in a simple step-by-step way.

Because of her influence, I started tutoring my peers in high school. I began practicing chunking content into easily consumable bits, creating materials for targeted practice, and improving my methods for the next person that needed help.

Choosing my path

I wanted to learn more about how people think. I pursued a bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation and Judicial Pedagogy from Wszechnica Swietokrzyska in Kielce, Poland (Evaluation and Authentication Report by World Education Services (WES): Swietokrzyska College in Kielce-Bachelor’s Degree-Criminal Justice and Education). I loved learning about the human mind. I wanted to know how people learn, what motivates them, the theories behind how people act, and how I can support them during challenging times.

Rewriting my story

In 2008 I moved to the U.S.A. Once I settled in, I set my goal of becoming an educator.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Southwest State Minnesota University. I started improving my craft of instruction that drove metrics, collaborating with other professionals and stakeholders, and helping learners by addressing their different learning styles and needs.

Unexpected Events

During the pandemic, I had an opportunity to focus extensively on microlearning. I realized that creating self-paced digital resources, making how-to videos using Screencast, tracking data to improve my designs, and collecting feedback was an aspect of my profession that I enjoyed the most. It drove my intrinsic motivation to challenge myself to produce online materials accessible to all learners.

Aha! Moment

Once I discovered instructional design/eLearning, I was intrigued and wanted to explore its possibilities. I moved to upskilling.

I started my journey of developing my instructional design skills and creating eLearning projects. I joined Devlin’s Peck Bootcamp to streamline my process and receive invaluable feedback from Devlin himself, his team of Bootcamp Pros, and other instructional design professionals.

I gained confidence in using tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe XD, and Adobe Illustrator. I explored adult learning theories and processes like action mapping and ADDIE and used them as the framework for my portfolio projects.

The adventure continues

Today, I have reached the top of the mountain and am eager to learn more. In my recent position as an eLearning Content Developer at an early-stage company, I crafted successful new hire orientation and onboarding programs. I collaborated with cross-functional teams to design and develop robust training. I have grit, dedication, and perseverance to keep me on the right track to success.

I am looking to join a company that prioritizes crafting impactful learning experiences.
